creek on Cliff walk

By taking a right hand turn at the bottom of the stairs, the track follows around the base of The Three Sisters. Following the Cooks Crossing you cross a bridge beneath Katoomba Falls. There are many tracks to explore in this area, or you have the option of catching the Scenic Railway to the cliff top, or walking up the Furber Stairs to return to the cliff top.

Once back to the cliff top you could catch the shuttle bus home or take in some more stunning views by getting back on to the Prince Henry Cliff Walk and heading towards Katoomba Falls and Echo Point.

There are many Bush walks around Katoomba. The Information Centre at Echo Point will provide more information.

Prince Henry Cliff Walk: This walk takes you around the cliff tops. From the intersection of Cliff Drive and Merriwa Street, you can start the walk towards Echo Point, around to Katoomba Falls and as far as Scenic World. The tracks are well defined and there are a number of stunning lookouts along the track. If you don't want to do the complete walk there are plenty of opportunities to leave the track on well defined exits that take you back onto the road.

If you are feeling adventurous there are also several tracks leading into the valley. The most popular of these is the Giant Stairway at the Three Sisters. The stairway is very steep in places (about one thousand steps).

'The Everglades garden was a delightful visit as was Leura Village. The walk to Echo Point along the cliff top with the sounds of lyre birds in the valley is a must.'
